While hiking on a beautiful late fall day, we came across this most unusual green fungus. Never having seen this before, I reached out to a Science teacher colleague of mine who identified the fungus.

The leaves in the old stump bookended by the leaves at the bottom left and right, along with the fungus on the stump made a symmetrical composition which I liked.
